The Cottages at Mill Creek - FAQs
What do I do when Mom's money runs out?
Because we have a contract with the Medicaid program and we do not limit the number of Medicaid eligible residents in our facility, the administrative staff will direct you to the appropriate persons at DSHS, HCS to complete the necessary paperwork and mom will stay where she is.
What types of activities do you have?
We tailor daily activities for the residents based upon their individual needs and abilities.
Do you have nursing services?
We have a fulltime nurse on duty that is overseen by a part-time RN.
How do I get mom to the doctor?
Our nurse will make arrangements through paratransit which is paid for by the State. If mom is unable to travel to a doctor's office, we have a physician who comes to the facility once a week.
How can we be sure Mom/Dad will be safe and will not leave the building unsupervised?
Each cottage is separately staffed 24/7 and the front and back doors are alarmed to alert the caregivers of any resident leaving the building. The size and configuration of each cottage allows our staff to be able to always see the movement of each of our residents when they are out of their rooms.
